Sacha Baron Cohen Joining 'Django Unchained'? Quentin Tarantino Film In Talks

Borat Teaming Up With Tarantino?

Two of the most acclaimed, eccentric filmmakers of the past two decades are set to bring their zany minds together.

According to Variety, Sacha Baron Cohen is lining up a role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming western slave epic, "Django Unchained." The film tells the story of Django, a freed slave who goes back to rescue his wife from a brutal slave trader/club owner. Variety says that Baron Cohen would play a gambler named Scotty who at one point buys Django's wife. It was a role that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was at one point supposedly in talks to play, but obviously that casting fell through.

Jamie Foxx will play Django, while Christoph Waltz will take on the role of a bounty hunter who agrees to help him win back his wife. The depraved slave trader will be played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Baron Cohen plays an antagonist role in Martin Scorsese's upcoming 3D family film, "Hugo," and has been working on his own film, "The Dictator," in which he plays multiple roles, including one inspired by Saddam Hussein.
