'Dancing With The Stars' Couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy And Hope Solo To Boycott Finale?

Will Maksim And Hope Boycott 'Dancing' Finale?

Hotheaded "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his celebrity partner, Hope Solo, may have skipped the press line after being eliminated last week, but fears that the pair would skip out on the ceremonial "last dance" on tonight's episode are unfounded, according to Chmerkoviskiy's publicist, Lizzie Grubman.

"On [this] week's finale, I can assure you that @MaksimC will answer every media question," Grubman told me via Twitter. "His team appreciates his fans' support. MaksimC will definitely be at the finale! He is very excited to make all his fans happy!"

The finale will mark the end of a very controversial season for the dancer. He previously trash-talked fellow castmate Derek Hough during a "Good Morning America" interview and told reporters, "F-ck Carrie Ann [Inaba]" after he was given less than stellar marks during judging one week.

Does all that drama spell trouble for next season?

Not necessarily. "Max has a contract with the show and is one of its most talked-about dancers," a show insider told me. "His bad-boy ways are all part of his image that makes him so exciting to watch on and off the dance floor. He really is a pussycat in real life. Don't be fooled for one second -- like the audience, the producers of the show love him. Only a fool would get fired from one of the biggest hits on television."

Here's hoping Chmerkovskiy can find a way to stay sassy without getting sacked.
