Tips To Avoid Online Holiday Shopping Hoaxes, Copycat Website Cons

Despite a Grinch-like economy last holiday season, Internet shoppers spent $33 billion in November and December 2010 — and, for the first time ever, more than $1 billion in one day, the Monday after Thanksgiving known as Cyber Monday, which kicks off the online shopping season.

And while hard times continue, online retailers are predicting an even more joyous holiday this season. Close to two-thirds expect their online sales to grow by at least 15 percent compared to last shopping season, retail research finds.
