Well, it appears that even though more than a year has passed since "The Decision," the citizens of Ohio -- or, at the very least, the students of Ohio State -- still hold a deep grudge against LeBron James... even when he's rooting for the Buckeyes.
James was in attendance at Ohio State's demolition of the Duke Blue Devils Tuesday night in Columbus along with fellow Heat star Dwyane Wade. Upon entering the arena, LeBron was greeted with a chorus of boos, so much so that it overshadowed the applause given to former Ohio State standout Greg Oden, who walked in behind him. LeBron was even booed while he was in the tunnel giving interviews to press, but maintained he was only there as a fan and didn't intend to attract attention to himself.
While the reception he received was chilly, at least LeBron got to see a great game from his Buckeyes, including an unlikely layup by Ohio State guard Aaron Craft off of a pass to himself.
It wasn't the first, and most definitely won't be last time LeBron has been booed by an arena full of basketball fans. But given the fact that he was rooting for the home team, we imagine this one had to sting a little bit.
