Chris Paul Trade Rumors: Hornets Guard To Be Traded Before Season?

Chris Paul Trade Rumor Roundup

Depending on which reporter's sources you choose to believe, Chris Paul could be playing for nearly a third of the teams in the NBA season. First, Paul he was rumored to be heading to Boston in a swap for Rajon Rondo. Then, he was reportedly demanding a trade a trade to the Knicks. Shortly thereafter, the Los Angeles Lakers were supposedly the frontrunners. Now, it has been reported that the other team in L.A. is making a run Oh, and don't forget that Golden State Warriors are also trying to deal for all-star point guard. Here is a rundown of many of the rumors swirling around CP3.

California Dreaming?
According to ESPN's Marc Stein and Chris Broussard, the Warriors and Clippers are in trade talks with the New Orleans Hornets. But both teams are hesitant to give up young their young stars -- reportedly Golden State's Stephen Curry and Los Angeles' Eric Gordon.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported that both teams would "significantly raise their chances" of re-signing Paul after one season if they also sign center Tyson Chandler. That comes as no surprise, considering Paul and Chandler were teammates in New Orleans for three years.

Shipping Up To Boston
Woj also wrote that the Celtics are still in pursuit of CP3, despite recent reports that the 26-year-old wouldn't sign an extension with Boston.

Destined For Hollywood
Earlier this week, Broussard reported that the Lakers were looking to not just acquire Paul, but all-star center Dwight Howard as well. Two sources told him that the Lakers are willing to trade anyone on the roster except, of course, Kobe Bryant.

New York State Of Mind
Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears reported last week that Paul requested a trade to the Knicks through his agent, Leon Rose.

With so many trade rumors surrounding Paul change each day, it appears that the Hornets are indeed trying to get a deal done before the season begins on Christmas day.
