There's nothing like starting the season off with a bang. We knew the Miami Heat would kick off a shortened 2011-12 season on the road in Dallas (and forced to watch the evil Mavericks hoist an NBA Championship banner), but the full season schedule released Tuesday night show ours boys open home play at AmericanAirlines Arena on December 27 against their Eastern Conference Semifinals opponents, the Boston Celtics.
Still, that's not even one of the more marquee matchups. Along with the season opener in Dallas, January 19 and March 4 games against the Lakers and an April 19 rematch against Eastern Conference Finals patsies Chicago ought to bring the noise (and hopefully not the funk).
Meanwhile Wednesday, a bearded Dwyane Wade was showing off his new shoe, the Jordan Fly Wade 2. Here's hoping it makes for a better omen than the last time that happened.
