Albert Pujols Heads To Angels: Fans React On Twitter

VIEW: Reactions To Albert Pujols' New Deal With The Angels

It's official: Albert Pujols has signed a $250 million, 10-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels, leaving the 2011 world champion St. Louis Cardinals and their fans in the dust.

While some St. Louisans are bidding Pujols an honorable farewell from the Show-Me State, others are upset enough to compare the player's decision to that of a certain former Cleveland Cavaliers player who left for the Miami Heat in a whirlwind of publicity.

Pujols was born in the Dominican Republic and attended college at Maple Woods Community College in Missouri. He won two World Series championships with the Cardinals in 2006 and 2011. Pujols became a free agent after his last season with the team.
