Obama-Maliki Meet, Hold Joint Conference (VIDEO)

As US troops prepare to withdraw from Iraq ahead of the December 31, 2011, deadline, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki met with President Obama in Washington, DC to discuss United States-Iraq relations.

In a joint press conference, Obama praised Iraq's elections, economic development, and security forces. "Today we are reaffirming our vision of a long-term partnership between our nations," Obama said.

President Obama and Prime Minister al-Maliki will head to Arlington National Cemetery following the news conference.
