Eating a diet rich in fiber can aid in digestion, help you reach and maintain a healthy weight and even make you live longer. But most of us don't get enough, because we're not eating our share of fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains, according to Dr. Travis Stork on "The Doctors."
Instead, we reach for packaged and processed foods that have been stripped of their natural nutrients.
"The difference between fruit juice and fruits is that fruit has the actual fiber in there," said Dr. Stork. "When you make fruit juice you basically get rid of all the fiber."
