Jon Bon Jovi Death Hoax: Rocker Responds To Rumor

Bon Jovi: 'Heaven Looks A Lot Like New Jersey'

Jon Bon Jovi fell victim to a Internet death hoax Monday, but have no fear -- the rocker-turned-actor is doing just fine these days.

A rumor, believed to be started at the "dailynewsbloginternational" website, stated that 49-year-old "New Year's Eve" actor was found in a coma and not breathing at a New Jersey hotel. The post continues, alleging he suffered cardiac arrest and died -- a story the LA Times says is partly copied from their 2009 Michael Jackson death announcement.

But, as we all know now, Bon Jovi is alive and well. The "Wanted Dead or Alive" singer even took to Twitter and Facebook to clear up the bizarre rumor.

"Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey," he wrote, adding a picture of him holding a piece of paper with the same message, dated Dec. 19, 2011 at 6 p.m., assuring fans around the world that the reports of his death were greatly exaggerated.
