Regis Philbin Chats With Brian Williams, Hijacks NBC Studio Tour

Regis Philbin seemed to have spent some quality time at NBC as of late, with an appearance on "Rock Center with Brian Williams" Monday night, and a brief stint as an NBC Tour guide last week.

During his appearance on "Rock Center," Williams jokingly likened Philbin to Glenn Close in the film Fatal Attraction. "You're like Glenn Close in the movie, coming out of the tub, you're never going away...and I mean that in the nicest way," Williams said referring to the fact that Philbin did not retire when he left "Live! With Regis and Kelly" last month.

"How could you mean that in a nice way?!" Philbin asked of the rather gruesome scene in the film.

Philbin also wreaked some minor havoc while visiting the network last week by taking over an NBC studio tour. Tours are guided by members of the NBC Page Program, the year-long program that allows participants to rotate through the network's various department and shows. Philbin, who started his career in television as an NBC Page, took over as guide. He brought the tour into a live studio in an attempt to find where MSNBC's "Morning Joe" was taped.
