Emma Roberts Taking A Break From College

Emma Roberts is saying so long to college -- for now, at least.

The actress is taking a break from classes at Sarah Lawrence College, where she was enrolled as a freshman.

"Due to work commitments, Emma has had to defer her college experience," the actress' rep confirmed to Life & Style Weekly.

Just last fall, Roberts told Us Weekly she was excited to start school at Sarah Lawrence.

"I've never been to college and I just wanted to get away from everything for awhile and try something new, explore some other stuff," she said.

But could Roberts' decision to take a breather from college courses have anything to do with her romance with "Glee" actor Chord Overstreet? After first being spotted together at last year's Coachella music festival, the pair haven't tried to hide their relationship -- one that seems to have gotten more stressful due to their bi-coastal lives. Roberts' school is in New York, while Overstreet's career keeps him in L.A.

"Emma's in love and wants to spend time with Chord," a source told Life & Style.

But even when Roberts was in New York, it seems that attending classes wasn't always on the top of her to-do list. The actress admitted to ditching class to attend the Tibi fashion show during last fall's Fashion Week.

"I ditched class to come to this show, and that's probably bad. I'm going back at the end of the week," she told Hollywood Life.
