'One For The Money' Trailer: Katherine Heigl's Edgy Comedy Kicks Off

Katherine Heigl Goes For The Money

Say goodbye to the rom-com star of yesteryear: Katherine Heigl is getting her guns out.

The trailer for Julie Anne Robinson's "One For The Money," based on Janet Evanovich's 17-book series, proves that Heigl is good for more than playing a sad 30-something looking for love. In fact, she can track down criminals and shoot guns!

According to the January issue of ELLE magazine, Heigl sees "One For The Money" as her make-it-or-break-it role, as her last two films, "Killer" with Ashton Kutcher and "New Year's Eve" with Jon Bon Jovi weren't exactly blockbusters. "She's nothing like me, and that scares me," Heigl said of her alter-ego Stephanie Plum.

But even if Heigl and her co-star Jason O'Mara fail to carry "One For The Money," she admits that she's long overdue for an attitude adjustment. "I over-dramatize," she said." And I think everything is at stake -- my life, my career, my family, everything is at stake if this movie doesn't do well."

"One For The Money" hits theaters on January 27. For more on Heigl, click over to ELLE.
