What If Gucci and Alexander McQueen were sold on QVC?
For one, all of our grandmas' friends would be a lot more stylish.
Vogue Italia's coy new photoshoot places models in haute couture on a simulated home shopping channel runway, complete with faux phone numbers you can call to order the goods, bright fluorescent lights and a glass tiled background wall.
But lest anyone be confused, Vogue Italia has this caveat for you:
Warning! All prices, telephone numbers, deadlines, that is to say all the writings superimposed onto the images are invented and have no reference to reality. It is only a game.
It's almost too bad: we'd love to have some spring 2012 Gucci dresses delivered right to our door.
