Lil Wayne To Release Memoir, 'Gone Till November,' Documenting Prison Experience

Weezy's Prison Stint Expected To Hit Book Shelves

Following his 2010 eight month prison stint in New York City's Rikers Island, Lil Wayne is gearing up to share his experience via his debut memoir, 'Gone Till November.'

Scheduled to hit shelves on November 28, the platinum-selling rapper has teamed up with Grand Central Publishing to assist in releasing his detailed journals.

"We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne's prison memoir," Grand Central Publishing executive editor Ben Greenberg said in a statement provided to Billboard. "He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing."

In 2009 the Grammy Award-winner pleaded guilty to attempted gun possession stemming from a July 2007 arrest in New York City.
