After taking the Golden Globe for his role in BBC's "Luther" in the "Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made For Television" category, Elba opened up about his upcoming roles; and the actor confirmed that he will be back as Heimdall for Kenneth Branagh's "Thor 2" alongside actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
"'Thor 2' for sure," Elba told MTV news. "We're going at it again."
In the meantime, Elba is finishing work on Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" with Ron Perlman and Charlie Day, which is filming in Toronto.
"I'm going back tomorrow morning. I've been there for five months," he said of the film, slated for a 2013 release date. "I love it. Guillermo's a genius, and the film we're making is a huge film, bad monster movie and robots and me."
