Zurich Chamber Orchestra Turns A Ferdinand Ries Symphony Into A Roller Coaster Ride (VIDEO)

Classical Music Turned Into A Roller Coaster

Here's a stunning promo for the Zurich Chamber Orchestra -- the first violin score for the fourth movement of Ferdinand Ries' second symphony, transformed into a roller coaster ride.

WATCH:

This isn't the first inventive campaign from the ZCO, who two years ago commissioned an award-winning series of ads featuring musicians in the tear ducts, hair follicles and heart chambers of moved listeners. This particular visualization was created by the production studio Virtual Republic, who describe their vision on their Vimeo page:

The notes and bars were exactly synchronised with the progression in the animation so that the typical movements of a rollercoaster ride match the dramatic composition of the music.

Sounds about right. Well done fellas! Deserving of a slow (and then very fast, downward) clap.
