HUFFPOST FUNDRACE - Tomorrow

HUFFPOST FUNDRACE - Tomorrow

Wondering how much super PACs raised and from whom? Curious about how Gingrich's December surge helped his fundraising? Tomorrow you'll finally get to find out. Campaigns and super PACs are set to disclose their 4th quarter fundraising reports on Tuesday. This will cover contributions and expenses from October 1 through December 31. HuffPost will be covering these disclosures all day tomorrow and throughout the next few weeks.

What will we be looking for?

How much did the campaigns raise and who are their top donors?
Who's giving to the super PACs and how much have they raised and spent?
What's the split between max out donors ($5,000) and small donors (under $250) for each of the campaigns?
Are super PACs receiving contributions from sources that do not reveal the name of a human donor like shell corporations or non-profit organizations?
Who are the top donors in the country?
How much did the Republican campaigns invest in the early primary states?

GOP Primary update

Super PAC spending has already influenced three primaries and one caucus in the GOP primary season. Today is the last day where the public will not know who is funding these groups. Nancy Scola looks at how this situation came about.

How much has the outside spending by super PACs and similar groups increased since 2008? The number is 1600% according to a study by the Wesleyan Media Group.

In Congress

Super PACs aren't just for the presidential race. The Washington Post's Dan Eggen explains.

Dem super PAC is targeting Tea Party Republicans, according to HuffPost's Mike McAuliff.

It's like Darren Aronofsky's Pi meets congressional corruption. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) uses a mystical rabbi and his network of followers to break campaign finance laws, according to this New York Times article.
