Reese Witherspoon Reacts To Rumors Of 'Fear' Remake Starring Justin Bieber (VIDEO)

Did Reese Witherspoon Diss Justin Bieber?

Did Reese Witherspoon insult Justin Bieber before quickly realizing it probably wasn't a good idea?

When asked what she thought of rumors that Bieber might star in a remake of the 1996 thriller, "Fear," (which starred Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg) she appeared a little caught off guard.

"Fine. Great. That would be cool," she said. "Would he be playing me or Mark Wahlberg?"

The 35-year-old actress immediately started giggling but quickly tried to move past the small dig at the teenage popstar. She went on to clarify, saying it would be believable if he had a crazy fan after him.

"Is it like a girl who harasses the family, like a stalker who can't leave him alone? That would be good," she said. "I mean girls get crazy about him."

We admit we can't really see Bieber, 17, taking on Wahlberg's role as a psychotic stalker who terrorizes his girlfriend and her family.

Despite the remark, Reese went on to say she's a fan of the singer.

"He's very talented," she said. "I didn't know much about him until I saw the documentary ["Never Say Never"] and I thought that was really worthwhile and worth seeing, and it made me think, 'What a sweetheart.'"
