Katy Perry To Donate Proceeds From 'Part Of Me'

Katy Perry To Donate Proceeds From Revenge Song

When Katy Perry sings about how she wants to share "Part of me" with others, she means it.

After her performance at the Grammys, Katy Perry's new single "Part of me" quickly topped the charts. While thanking her listeners via Twitter during its rise to the No. 1 spot, Perry made another announcement: She would donate the proceeds to MusiCares, a charity connected to the Grammys that brings music to people and places most in need.

"My proceeds of #PARTOFME from ITUNES & others will go to one of my favorite charities for the arts, MUSICARES," she said on Twitter.

The song, speculated to be about Perry's ex-husband Russell Brand, was first performed on Sunday night. By Tuesday, the tune had topped the charts, thecelebritycafe.com reports.

But Perry's not the only top musician who's in tune with charity. Several pieces of memorabilia from the Grammys are being auctioned on eBay, with proceeds benefitting the Grammy Foundation and MusiCares.

Perry and other artists, including Rihanna, Alicia Keyes and Jennifer Hudson, signed a Daisy Rock guitar that's currently being auctioned on eBay. The top bid sits at $1,525 and the auction will close Feb. 27.
