'Inside Comedy': Billy Crystal Talks About The Stress Of Hosting The Oscars (VIDEO)

Billy Crystal will be hosting the 2012 Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26 and on "Inside Comedy" (Thurs., 11 p.m. EST on Showtime) he opened up about the stress caused by such a high-profile gig.

Fan favorite Crystal stepped up as Oscars host after director Brett Ratner withdrew as producer of the telecast and previously announced host Eddie Murphy quit.

The veteran comic has hosted the Oscars so many times now, it should be a cake walk, right? Maybe not.

He told David Steinberg that he took a break from doing it because while he liked doing it for most of the time, it encroached on his life too much each year.

"It became months and months of work and after a while it becomes sort of a thankless job. I didn't know what else I could do with it. ... I got burnt out."

Tune in to see if Crystal does wind up dancing with Uggie the dog after all at "The 84th Annual Academy Awards," which air live Sunday February 26 at 7 p.m. EST on ABC.

"Inside Comedy" airs Thursdays at 11 p.m. EST on Showtime.
