LANSING – Detroit Mayor Dave Bing made an appearance in Lansing this morning to urge state lawmakers to do more to help the financially strapped city.
Bing spoke briefly before the House appropriations subcommittee during its hearing on state revenue sharing this morning.
“I'm hopeful that Detroit is high on the agenda because we’re a city that’s been hampered and thrown around, and it’s time for us to really take the bull by the horns and make the hard decisions to get our city back on track,” he said.
