Mike Buentello Fights Stage-4 Cancer Inspired By Sons With Autism, Leg Amputations (How You Can Help)

Dying Dad Inspired By Sons With Autism, Leg Amputations (How You Can Help)

Mike Buentello is about to start chemotherapy for his third battle with cancer.

The 36-year-old father doesn't like to talk about his stage four diagnosis -- he'd rather be talking about his sons Dominic, 8, and Logan, 4, KENS5.com reports.

"I really don't like discussing the possibility of, you know, the doctors being right," Buentello, who was told he had two to six months to live, told the news source.

Dominic is diagnosed with autism, but the proud father talks about how well he's doing in school, and how much the young boy reads. Logan had both legs amputated due to a rare bone disease, but Buentello only sees him as "unstoppable."

Perhaps its their father's perseverance and optimism that has the family making strides.

"I think it's easy to enjoy life," he told KENS5.com, wiping back tears. "You know, you spend every day with your two kids and your wife, and you come home and everything's -- that's pretty much a perfect life."

A support page for the Buentello family accepts online donations.
