If you're a long-time Angeleno, you know the smell, sound and snap of bacon-wrapped hot dogs like you know the back of your own hand. After a Lakers game, a night of dancing or even at the end of a protest march, nothing quite hits the spot like these greasy babies sliding down your gullet.
When LAist pointed us to this epic power-rap paying homage to LA's (hot dog) ladies of the night, we knew we had to share it again.
WATCH (contains adult language and drug use depictions):We're Still Friends TV uploaded the music video with this caption:
A musical ode to that most Los Angeles figure of the L.A. nightlife : the HOT DOG LADY. She feeds us when we're famished, helps hold off that hangover, and throws in chips and a drink for only a dollar fifty extra. It's high time she got some love.
According to the music video, bacon-wrapped hot dogs are not yet good enough to comfort a friend who'se grieving the loss of a loved one. But we're assuming the hot dog ladies are working on that.
