'The Biggest Loser': Jessica Simpson Is Part Of A Shopping Spree Prize Package (VIDEO)

This week, "The Biggest Loser" (Tue., 8 p.m. ET on NBC) lost a half hour of its running time so NBC could premiere a super-sized episode of "Fashion Star." And to commemorate the premiere, because they plan these things in advance, Jessica Simpsons pulled double-duty on the night. The clearly pregnant Simpson was part of a prize package on "Loser" in anticipation of her "Star" debut.

In a white elephant challenge, Jeremy gave up his first place prize of a celebrity shopping spree to his sister Conda in exchange for a goldfish. Conda took Kim with her, which created an interesting shift in the visible alliances in the house. Emily and Kim were clearly on the outs with everyone else, but then Conda reached out to Kim, so does this mean Conda isn't as solid with everyone else? If not, that would put Jeremy in play as well.

The biggest shift of the week came after Cassandra was voted out last week. At that moment, Alison revealed that they were going to singles. Trainers would stay the same, but it was every man and woman for themselves on the scale. The episode put a pretty notable emphasis on Kimmy conquering her fear of heights and finding herself as a woman, and Emily's struggles to figure out who she wants to be and find a belief in herself.

So it wasn't too big of a surprise when it was these two women who fell below the season's first yellow line. As this is a season where the focus is on getting rid of potential threats toward the top prize, it was a no-brainer that Emily would be the one sent home. Kim's vote to save her was expected, but once again Conda threw a bit of a surprise by throwing her support Emily's way as well.

But it didn't matter and Emily went home, where she continued losing weight and admitted to a passion for opera singing. So she connected with former winner Olivia, who took her to a vocal coach. There, Emily was told she did have a natural gift, so maybe Olivia and Emily could perform a duet at the finale ... especially if Emily proves they should have been scared of her by winning the whole season.
