Whoopi Goldberg Gives Joy Behar Standing Ovation For Newt Gingrich 'GCB' Zinger (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Moment That Brought Whoopi Goldberg To Her Feet

Whoopi Goldberg loved Joy Behar's Newt Gingrich zinger so much that she gave her co-host a standing ovation on Friday's "The View."

The ladies were interviewing actress Annie Potts, who stars in the new ABC show "GCB." The show's title, which stands for "Good Christian B-tches," has come under fire by some people, including Newt Gingrich. The GOP candidate alleged that the name exemplified anti-Christian bigotry.

Behar brought up Gingrich's remarks on Friday, and handily dismissed his opinion. "Newt Gingrich doesn't like it, he's said a few things about it... good Christian husband that he is," she quipped.

The zinger earned a standing ovation from Goldberg, who rose to her feet and applauded for several seconds before sitting down and crossing her legs.

For her part, Potts agreed. "I did feel that it was especially rich coming from him that he called our little TV show 'unchristian' when he was carrying on an affair while he was impeaching the president for doing the same," she said. "It's like, look in the mirror honey, I think our show may be for you."
