Paul Rademacher's Google Satellite Maps (PHOTOS)

Paul Rademacher's Stratocam is the one of those online gems which will take up way too much of your time.

It is Stumble Upon meets Google Maps, with an online art gallery thrown in, giving you a slideshow of gorgeous satellite images that you can rate, dwell on or skip. Roller coasters, blue lagoons, freeways and mountain ranges all look oddly beautiful from this bird's eye view. Now you have the power to really decide which is the best place on Earth. Take that, omnipotent beings!

Rademacher was part of the Geo team at Google for many years, as tech lead and manager for Earth and Maps. He also built HousingMaps.com, the Craigslist housing x GoogleMaps site that was an early maps "mashup."

Go ahead and start surfing! But we warn you... it's addictive.
