Trends are cyclical. Every few years we see the same ideas emerge -- menswear-inspired, color blocking, ladylike shapes -- with a modern update, of course. Prints are always popular, whether it's florals, graphics or even cartoons, they are a welcome break from monochromatic designs.

In the past few years we've seen a new take on the fad -- digital prints. With the rise of technology in almost every sector, it was only a matter of time before we'd see it popping up on the runways, and pop up it has. From Mary Katranzou's couture-like dresses emblazoned with baroque prints to Prabal Gurung's take on Georgia O'Keefe's flowers, designers have taken patterns and blown them up until they're oversized, overlapping and sometimes pixellated -- in the coolest way of course. Here, 11 digital print items. What a beautiful variation on a classic theme.
