Police in Port Orange, Fla., say a woman confessed that she tried to hire her friend to kill her third husband.
Instead, Parrish went to the police.
"I just didn't want to go the rest of my life knowing I could have prevented someone from being killed," Parrish told WFTV.
Police said they do not plan to reopen the case of Dufresne's second husband, whose death was ruled a suicide in 2001 and whose autopsy revealed he had ingested small amounts of anti-freeze over an extended period of time, ABC News reports.
Dufresne's family members told the Daytona Beach News Journal that the accusations were false.
"The whole thing is a mess and a lie," a woman who answered Dufresne's phone told the Journal.
Dufresne and Suchy were married in March, 2010, according to WESH.
