Kim Zolciak's father Joe seemed like he was already completely behind Kroy proposing to his daughter on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on Bravo), but he was also clearly touched that Kroy took the time to ask for his blessing beforehand. It's a tradition that's dying out in the Western world.
And while he had him, Joe decided to lob a few queries at Kroy to make sure he gave the right answers. Kroy confirmed that this was "beyond a lifetime commitment," and he'd already said that he thinks of Kim's daughters as his own. All that was left was for Joe to give his blessing.
"Karen and I support it 100+%," he said. "So welcome to the family. We'd be more than honored for you to be our son-in-law."
At the end of the show, Kim shared the big news with her girlfriends, while also sharing with the viewing audience that the proposal apparently happened off camera. That's a pretty big statement on a reality television show like this that Kroy wanted that private moment to remain just between them. It's a testament to how significant and important it was to him.
