White House Easter Egg Roll Book-Reading Shows Off Obama's 'Wild' Side (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: White House Easter Egg Roll Brings Out Obama's 'Wild' Side

The president is unleashing his wild side.

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle welcomed spring with Monday's White House Easter Egg Roll, celebrating the warm weather with games and book-readings for kids.

Malia and Sasha took part in the activities, too, by taking turns reading from "A Sick Day for Amos McGee" by Philip C. Stead. But what caught our eye was the president's own ability to bring books to life with his colorful depiction of Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are."

Check out photos of the president's fun reading performance below. At a time when American high school students are reading books at the fifth grade level, could he inspire more of our youth to not only take up books, but more challenging ones?
