'Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On' Premiere: Carnie Wilson's Weight-Loss Surgery Gas Attack (VIDEO)

Carnie's Post-Surgery Gas Attack On 'Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On'

Carnie Wilson's honesty and blunt approach to judging on "Karaoke Battle U.S.A." was just further proof that she is one of the most honest and watchable people on television. So it's no wonder many fans are declaring her the main reason to tune in to "Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on TV Guide). The premiere focused on her second weight-loss surgery in twelve years.

Carnie's struggles with her weight have been chronicled in public ever since Wilson Phillips first broke through in the 1990s. She had a gastric bypass more than a decade ago, and has now added a band over bypass. But the show was set up to chronicle the band's attempts at a comeback, and Carnie's sister Wendy and Chynna Phillips were concerned as the surgery was set for a month before a scheduled concert tour.

But the big drama in this premiere was that in the aftermath of the surgery, Carnie was having some physical reactions. "All I’m doing is burping and farting," she told her husband. "That’s all I’m doing. Never more in my entire life, honey." It's certainly not glamorous, but it doesn't get much more real than that.

Watch "Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On" every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on TV Guide.
