'River Monsters': Jeremy Wade Braves Croc-Infested Waters In Search Of A Man-Eating Fish (VIDEO)

'Rivers Monsters': Stormy Crocodile Infested Waters

Jeremy Wade was in search of a man-eating snake-fish in the Zambezi River in Africa on the latest installment of "River Monsters" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet). But before he could even think about that particular danger, he found himself on a boat in the middle of a terrible storm.

To make matters worse, the boat was in dangerous crocodile-infested waters. Already, 13 people from one village had been killed in the past year, and Wade showed what the crocodiles had done to hippos. Luckily, they survived the storm, but he never did track down the fish he was looking for.

Instead, Wade had to settle for a consolation prize in the form of a vundu catfish, the largest freshwater species in South Africa. It's also an air-breathing fish that can survive out of water for extended periods of time.

Find out what Wade is tracking next as "River Monsters" continues Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Animal Planet.
