Dallas Police Chase: Authorities Pursue Suspect Through Downtown Dallas

Police Chase Breaks Out In Downtown Dallas

A runaway suspect led police on a wild car chase from an interstate highway through downtown Dallas.

Authorities arrested Tenorris Duncan, 25, following the hour-long pursuit, which began when investigators attempted to serve the suspect with a warrant just after noon on Thursday, MyFoxDallas reported.

Duncan allegedly forced his girlfriend, reportedly the mother of his child, into a red Ford Expedition SUV and took off in an attempt to elude cops. Authorities also suspected that there might have been a third person in the car, which at one point reached speeds approaching 100 mph, according to WFAA.

Police were attempting to serve Duncan -- believed to be carrying a weapon during the chase -- with aggravated assault charges, according to CBS.

By the end, nearly a dozen squad cars were in pursuit of the suspect.

Authorities placed Duncan in the Lew Steritt Justice Center. He will face several charges surrounding the chase including the original one for aggravated assault.
