Oklahoma Student Is Allegedly Kidnapped And Shot Near Campus

Two men were arrested in a Langston University dorm on Saturday after they allegedly shot, kidnapped and robbed a University of Central Oklahoma student before leaving him on the side of the road.

Randale Anderson, 19, a student at Langston University and Sir Demarco Bledsoe, 23, a member of the Langston football team, were arrested on charges of kidnapping and robbery.

Police believe that the victim, University of Central Oklahoma student James Sykes, 23, picked up Anderson and Bledsoe in a parking lot near the a UCO apartment complex.

Sykes did not know the two men, according to reports. At some point during the drive, the men allegedly started to beat Sykes and shot him in the leg, according to koco.com. As Sykes was driving, police say the car swerved off the road before Bledsoe and Anderson allegedly abandoned it.

Both suspects are currently held in the Logan County Jail.
