'Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23': James Van Der Beek Show His 'DWTS' Dance Moves (VIDEO)

While it may not be as strenuous a workout regimen as the actors who really appear on "Dancing With the Stars," TV Guide says James Van Der Beek did have to train for a storyline in which he is cast in the show on "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (Wed., 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC).

"James, in real life, had to train quite a bit," Van Der Beek told TV Guide. It's all because in the fake "DWTS" he's worried about getting upstaged by his nemesis on the show, Dean Cain.

But that didn't stop him from taking some time out to help June save face with her womanizing ex-boyfriend. All it took was a staged fight, a very real looking slap from Chloe and the idea that every man in New York desperately wants June. Her ex had called her boring, so they painted a very different -- and far more desirable -- image for him.
