Sandra Bernhard certainly didn't represent the "G" in the season finale of "GCB" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on ABC), but she gave a great take on the original meaning of that "B." Carlene's dream of condos for Christians in Mexico came to a screeching halt when Bernhard's character first blackmailed her into giving the land back and then abandoned the ladies in the desert.
It was with a rather delicious glee that Bernhard took on the role of villain for the episode. She capture the sometimes over-the-top camp of the series perfectly. There was another benefit -- in regards to potential future drama -- of the trip. Carlene learned that Ripp has a daughter. But will anything come of it should the show get a second season?
With all the laughs, twists and turns it offers each episode, "GCB" is certainly made from the right formula to vie for a post-"Desperate Housewives" spot on the network. But even if it doesn't get picked up for a fall run, fans can hold out hope for another shortened season like this first one.
Find out ABC's decision on "GCB" -- for the fall at least -- when the network unveils its Fall 2012 schedule on Tuesday, May 15.
