Unless you're the child of Martha Stewart or Nigella Lawson, you've most likely suffered some culinary injustice at your mother's hands. No matter how well your mother knows her way around the kitchen or how many satisfying home-cooked meals she's prepared for you while growing up, there was inevitably a mishap or two (and hopefully no more than that!) which you had to swallow and call dinner -- and pretend it was good.

Whether it be a heavy-handed mayonnaise dish that made the rounds once a week or a cut of meat she just couldn't get right (yet, never ceased to try) we've all been there. Admitting to it doesn't mean that she was a bad mom -- just that she's human. And with Mother's Day right around the corner, what better way to honor her than with a playful jab at her cooking disasters?
