2012's Biggest Box Office Star Is...

2012's biggest box office star isn't a hunky celebrity or a blonde bombshell -- it's the bow and arrow. Suddenly, everyone, from princesses to superheroes to hobbits, is picking up the sport of archery on-screen.

The trend is building steam off-screen, too. "All of a sudden sales of bows have, like, tripled," Paul Haines, a salesman at the Ramsey Outdoor store in Paramus, N.J. told the Associated Press last month.

"Katniss is so inspiring," 12-year-old Gabby Lee, who took up archery lessons after reading The Hunger Games, told Boston.com. "It feels really good because I'm usually the girl who sits and reads."
