'Duets': John Legend Has To Find A Replacement, And She Blows The Judges Away (VIDEO)

'Duets': John Legend's Replacement Contestant Blows Judges Away

Viewers who are trying to figure out exactly how "Duets" (Thu., 8 p.m. ET on ABC) works may be starting to put the puzzle pieces together. This week, no one went home again, but there will be eliminations next week. But in an interesting and unforeseen twist, John Legend got the chance to inject his team with some new blood.

Johnny Gray left the show for what was only described as "personal reasons," leaving Legend a contestant short. So he held open auditions, where he found the rather impressive Meleana Brown.

She showed incredible poise and grace, and blew the other judges away with her take on Lionel Richie and Diana Ross' "Endless Love" with John Legend. It was enough to put her at the top of the leaderboard, where she stayed for the night.

See who goes home when the eliminations start next week on "Duets," Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
