Joan Rivers Explains Why She Didn't Think William And Kate's Marriage Would Last On 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

Why Joan Rivers Doesn't Think Will & Kate Will Last

Joan Rivers is always outspoken and outrageous, but she's also insightful and hilarious as the same time. On "Late Show" (weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS), David Letterman asked her about her stance against the longevity of the marriage between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

For Rivers, it all came down to the ring. William gave Kate his mother's ring. Joan went into a lengthy monologue, imagining his presentation of the ring to her.

"My mother and father hated each other," she said as William presenting his mother's ring to his bride-to-be. "They think my brother was somebody else’s, my mother was crazy on drugs, tried to kill herself, then she screwed an Arab and guess what? They had her killed!"

Catch David Letterman and "Late Show" every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
