Kendra Wilkinson: 'I Was A Girl, And Now I'm A Woman'

Wilkinson: 'I Was A Girl, And Now I'm A Woman'

Last time we saw "Girls Next Door" cast member Kendra Wilkinson, she was in a dark place. Struggling after the birth of her son, she was not her usual happy-go-lucky self. But now she is back and happier than ever, she said.

"I found the key to my sexuality all over again," Wilkinson told me. "Before, I thought I was in touch with that, but I really wasn't," she said. "I was a girl, and now I'm a woman. Getting in touch with that is key to feeling good about yourself and confident. Laughing and being immature is what's sexy to my husband and myself."

Wilkinson was so unhappy that she brushed her teeth in the dark, never turned on the lights and even covered up mirrors with towels, she said.

"I couldn't look at myself a year ago," Wilkinson said. "I avoided my reflection 24/7. After I had the baby, it was the biggest change of our lives and I had a little bit of postpartum blues."

"But where we are now is back to being happy and fun," she said. "I have never felt so good in my entire life. I have another chance. My job motivates me to stay confident."

Knowing that a lot of other women have had similar experiences, Wilkinson said the best advice she can give is for others to seek professional help.

"Never look at the people around you as therapists; that's what I did," Wilkinson said. "I made a huge mistake looking at my husband as a therapist. But he's not understanding my true emotions and I'm not understanding them. So you have to go to someone that is trained to help your problems. You have got to go to your therapist for your therapy."
