Capital Pride 2012 Parade Route

WASHINGTON -- We've been writing about Capital Pride for the last two weeks, highlighting official events such as the first LGBT event at the Howard Theatre and unofficial events like Sharon Needles at Town. D.C. will be flush will tourists and residents alike for the big two events this Saturday and Sunday, the parade and festival.

If you're coming to town for the first time or hosting visitors, consider a tour full of history lessons of D.C.'s LGBT past.

For those planning to attend the Capital Pride Parade on Saturday, the parade begins at a new start time, 4:30 p.m. Parties planning to attend should arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure a prime location.

The parade route goes from 22nd and P streets NW to Thomas Circle via Dupont Circle, New Hampshire Avenue, R Street NW, 17th Street NW and 14th Street NW.
