Craft Of The Day: A Striped Hamper Made With...Duct Tape?

One Way To Make Laundry Day A Little Brighter

Let's be honest, there's not much fun in doing laundry. It's tedious and time consuming. And having a dull-looking hamper in the corner of our bedroom definitely detracts from our otherwise stylish decor. But this Craft Of The Day from A Beautiful Mess will help dress up any old hamper -- as much as you can add style to this basic, that is. Ready to give your basket a little pizzazz? Keep reading for the how-to.

You'll Need:
Basket hamper
Duct tape
Scissors
Spray paint

How to Make It:
1. Using duct tape, tape off the space you don't want to paint. Make sure you press the edges of the tape down firmly so that spray paint doesn't get underneath.
2. After taking your basket outside to an open space, spray paint the sections you'd like with two coats in the color of your choice.
3. Allow to dry and carefully remove the duct tape.
