Jonah Hill In 'Django Unchained': Actor Returns To Quentin Tarantino Film

'Django Unchained' Adds Jonah Hill At 11th Hour

Jonah Hill will apparently appear in "Django Unchained" after all. According to Deadline.com, the actor has been cast in Quentin Tarantino's Southern-fried Spaghetti Western, this despite the fact that it's almost done filming and due in theaters in a matter of months.

Hill was originally cast in "Django Unchained" as Scotty Harmony, a 24-year-old overweight virgin whose father purchases him Django's slave wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), to raise the boy's confidence. He had to bow out of the project last year due to prior commitments.

"I got offered the new Quentin Tarantino movie, and I can't do it because of my schedule," he said to MTV. "Doing Quentin's movie would have obviously been amazing, but my schedule didn't work out, which sucks."

Per Deadline.com, Hill won't be playing Harmony in the film -- and whether that character even remains in "Django Unchained" is unclear. Sacha Baron Cohen was cast in the role following Hill's departure, but he also left the project.

Starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Johnson and now apparently Hill, "Django Unchained" is in theaters on Dec. 25.
