I'll gird my journalistic loins as I make this explosive statement: I love the Kardashians. I know that their reality show is low-brow entertainment, manufactured and scripted, but in my opinion, after a long day at work, I like to think of it as light, fluffy TV that takes no brainpower whatsoever.
My favorite family member is Khloe. Her outspoken attitude, devil-may-care sense of humor and relatable body insecurities are endearing. That said, her style choices are questionable at times. In more than one episode, she wears a blousy shirt that falls off the shoulder. Her mane of hair usually covers up most of the exposed skin, but all the same, there is a hint of bare flesh.
An off-the-shoulder moment takes me back to the days of "Flashdance" where Jennifer Beals' character wore the dancer's uniform of a leotard, leggings and a baggy sweatshirt as a cover-up. The topper always fell off one shoulder in an inadvertently sexy way.
When I see the trend on stars these days I like the balance of the flowy, shapeless top with just a bit of skin exposed. What do you think? Check out 46 celebrities in the style and tell us: Is off-the-shoulder back?
