Breast-Cancer Group Seeks Top Talent After Firestorm

Komen Trying To Fill Exec Slots After Scandal

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is seeking to beef up its top ranks after a political firestorm that contributed to a decline in fundraising for many of the breast-cancer charity's signature footraces across the country this year.

The nonprofit organization is searching for a chief operating officer as well as other senior staff. The COO post has been vacant since late 2009, when founder Nancy Brinker became the group's chief executive after serving as chief of protocol under former President George W. Bush.
