A South Florida high school teacher has resigned after he was allegedly found Facebook sexting a learning disabled female student at Everglades High School in Miramar.
The student's mother reported Frank Borzen, 31, after seeing a transcript of their late-night online conversation.
Borzen invited the 19-year-old to his Jacuzzi and encouraged her to join a threesome with another student, who he said he asked "if she wanted to rub her boobs in his face," according to transcripts released by the Broward County School Board.
When the 19-year-old student told him she would "rape the shit out of him," Borzen responded "so how come when I said lets make out this summer you didn't?"
She also tells Borzen that every girl at Everglades High School wants to rape him and he responds "Hopefully not the fat black ones."
On May 22, after the school board informed Borzen of the investigation, he resigned his post as language arts teacher with the following letter, filled with misspellings:
"I, Frank Borzen, hearby irrivocably resign my postion of employment with the Broward County School District affective May 30, 2012."
My peer counseling teacher, Mr. Frank Borzen, rocks because he is unlike any other teacher I've had before.
He wants only the best for his students and ensures each student has the opportunity to be heard. Mr. Borzen tells his students that in every situation, one always has a choice, and although we all want to participate in adult things, we never want to deal with the adult consequences.
He has an imperturbable attitude and influences his students to always make the right decisions.
Unfortunately, sexting scandals between school officials and students are far from rare.
In Chicago, a gym teacher coach offered more than rides to one 14-year-old student. He reportedly sent her sexually explicit messages and fondled her during rides to sporting events.
A Colorado Springs school board member was arrested late last year for sexting a 14-year-old student with messages like "Baby I will rock ur f***ing world!"
And a Chicago middle school principal resigned after he was caught sending lewd messages and images of his genitals to a college student.
