Joe Jonas Talks 'The Next,' 'Married To Jonas'

Joe Jonas: 'Married To Jonas' Is 'Comical'

With his debut as a judge on the talent competition series "The Next" (premiering on Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. ET) right around the corner, Joe Jonas has a lot on his plate. But that hasn't diverted his attention from his brother Kevin's upcoming E! reality show, "Married To Jonas."

Documenting Kevin and Danielle Jonas' married life, Joe has enjoyed watching the series unfold.

"I think the fans are going to learn a lot about Kevin and even more about Dani because she is kind of behind the scenes in his life," he told Parade.com. "It’s cool for me and Nick to sit back and laugh because of the drama that people are going to see because that’s reality TV, but I’m happy for them. They’ve made this show a lot of fun. I saw the pilot and it was just comical.”

President of entertainment programming for E! Lisa Berger is excited about the show, which premieres on Mon., Aug. 19 at 10 p.m. on E!

“The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds," she said in a statement. "One small town and one dealing with international fame, coming together as one and starting a whole new life together.”

So what can we expect from "The Next?" Housework, apparently.

“The difference [between this show and other competition shows] is that we’re moving in with these people," Jonas told Parade. "Gloria Estefan, Nelly, John Rich, and myself, literally knock on your door and say, ‘Hey! We have 72 hours to get you ready to perform for a national audience.’ I’m pretty much moving in and rehearsing whenever we can. And it’s just hilarious. We have to take on their jobs and chores around the house while they prepare."
