Joni Mitchell's Edgy '60s Style...And How To Get The Look (PHOTO)

Joni Mitchell's Edgy '60s Style

With her stick straight hair, bare feet, turquoise jewelry and guitar-as-accessory, Joni Mitchell personified '70s bohemian style. The folk artist would often take the stage wearing long billowing skirts, and flowers in her hair. The Canadian-born singer was undeniably one of the greatest female artists of the 20th century, and still inspires today.

In this 1967 photo, snapped backstage at the Newport Folk Festival with fellow performer Leonard Cohen, she wore a diagonally striped minidress and an equally cool beaded necklace. We think this less-is-more look is perfect for summer. Can you think of any current stars who channel Mitchell's style?
